Established in 1977, we are a not-for-profit company, reinvesting back into the organisation for the benefit of our members. Originally founded by a group of passionate industry professional who identified a need for a membership organisation created by industry professionals, for industry professionals.

Four decades on and BABTAC’s objective to raise industry standards and ensure the ongoing wellbeing of the professionals working in it remains as strong as ever. With our unrivalled passion and expertise, a rigorous ethical code and a high professional practice standard, we are proud to represent over 10,000 industry professionals as BABTAC members.

The BABTAC logo is a sign of confidence, displayed with pride by our members to reassure clients and the public that they are appropriately qualified, verified and committed to excellence.

BABTAC is governed by a Council of elected members and appointed honorary officers.

Established in 1977, CIBTAC was created from an identified need to provide relevant, high-quality training within the beauty, complementary & spa industry. We were founded, and continue to be run, by passionate industry professionals.

Our mission is to prepare the therapists of the future for the world of work, ensuring that they are educated to the highest possible standard with the relevant skills and experience required to meet industry demands.

We are zealous advocators for issues affecting those working within the industry. We challenge poor practice, endeavour to educate the public on the importance of choosing a highly qualified therapist, and aim to inspire new generations to enter this rapidly growing international industry.
